"EMDR has allowed me to change my thought
patterns in ways that have been extremely helpful. After years of regular
therapy, EMDR was like a jump-start to address deeper issues in a timely manner.
In a matter of a few sessions, long-term issues were resolved." --R.K.,
Teacher "Yes things are going very well. I am
applying exercises/techniques that we discussed on a daily basis. With all the
pressure to meet schedules and ‘do more’ (we have regular meetings focused
almost exclusively on failures!)… I find it really useful to remind myself that
4 out of 5 (successes) is an A, to remind myself of all the successes when I am
confronted by the few things that inevitably do not go as planned… furthermore,
if everything went smoothly then there would be no reason to have me here. "Anyway, I am really finding that I am beating myself up much less now (as compared to previous jobs), and even better I am catching myself if/when it starts and reminding myself to be more fair with my expectations…. And even better better, this frees up a lot of mental time/space to enjoy the sunny walk thru town during my lunch hour, bath time with the kids, or even the awesomeness (did I make that word up?) of what I am actually working on. "I owe a lot of this to you, so thanks for all the help Art, a lot of the happiness that I shared in that email is a direct result of the work we did over the last 2 years. I hope you would recognize me up as one of your successes." --T. M., Engineer
