Going away to college allowed me to go to the movies whenever I wanted, which was usually about three times a week. Those days of the early 60's marked a golden era in which a budding cineaste could see the latest works of Fellini, Antonioni, Bergman, Truffaut, Godard and Bunuel, a thrill I've never gotten over.
As a result of joining SAC's Film Society, I began writing reviews of every movie I saw (which at 2-4 movies a week mounts up after awhile) and had an opportunity to give lectures on "North by Northwest" and "The Graduate." (See Reviews Archive and Movie Lectures.) |
